Fun was had by all at this year's sixth annual Newport Polo match versus Palm Beach. 50 new and returning members and guests attended . It started off as a cool and drizzly day but by taking cover under the tents, we still were able to have up close views of the majestic horses and the skilled players.

A catered meal comprising of delicious finger sandwiches, Mediterranean salad and sides as well as yummy cookies was enjoyed by all. Many attendees enjoyed a glass of Veueve Clicquot champagne delivered match side. The match began under drizzling skies with Newport scoring within the first minute of the chukker. At the start of halftime Somewhere Over The Rainbow could be heard over the loud speaker as the skies cleared and a beautiful rainbow appeared, which was just in time for the traditional divot stomp to level the field and start the second half. In the fourth chukker both teams came out strong scoring three goals each. Newport would remain in the lead and won the match 12-11.
