Thirty folks in 17 cars joined us for a nice country drive, a Mexican lunch at Frescos Cocina Mexicana, and a visit to the Lost Oak Winery in Burleson for wine-tasting and a winery tour.
Our event started with a backroads drive to Burleson. We had a great Mexican lunch at the highly-rated Frescos, located in the heart of Burleson’s downtown.
After lunch, we proceeded to the Lost Oak Winery, also in Burleson. We split into two groups then enjoyed a pretty comprehensive winery tour and tasting led by guides who obviously loved their craft. We were particularly impressed by a nice grape crop which benefited from the recent rains in our area. We were (somewhat) undeterred by the summer sun and the 100-degree heat.
After the tour and tasting, some of us remained at the winery to enjoy Lost Oak’s excellent viognier and bar eats.
