Member Mark George suggested the Bourgmont Winery in nearby Bucyrus as a place we’d probably enjoy visiting so he has us signed up for 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon, June 4th. Bourgmont is a hidden gem on south Quivira Rd. with multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas on expansive and landscaped grounds.

The Bourgmont website has their extensive tasting list, and you may purchase charcuterie there or even bring your own. We promise a wide selection of your favorite wines in delightfully appointed tasting rooms or outdoor seating, depending on your preference. No advance registration required.

Bourgmont Winery, 20299 Quivira Rd., Bucyrus, KS 66013: Make your way to Kansas 69 Hwy at 199th Street, then head west on 199th for 2.4 miles to Quivira. Turn left and proceed south six-tenths of a mile to the well-marked entrance on your left. Do NOT take Quivira, Switzer or Antioch south out of Overland Park as none of them go through. Kansas 69 Hwy to 199th is the way to go, unless you’re driving a G-Wagon and crave adventure.
