Twenty-four folks joined us for a country drive, lunch and distilled liquor tasting in Roanoke.  The new Anderson Grill served up eats and micro-distilled spirits in a unique industrial bar atmosphere.  It is located in the heart of Roanoke's beautiful downtown.  

After a country drive which avoided urban traffic, we arrived at historic Oak Street in downtown Roanoke, where Anderson Distillery and Grill is located. 

Owner Jay Anderson and his son Corey cheerfully welcomed us to their establishment.  

We enjoyed a lunch of craft eats and liquor samples provided by the distillery.  After lunch, we tasted 4 of Anderson’s liquors - generous portions of rum, vodka, whiskey and coffee cream liqueur.  After the tasting, Corey Anderson explained how they turn grain and sugars into drinks to enjoy.  He also took us to their distillery room and showed us how each piece of equipment worked. 

The 2023 season kicked off with a truly fun event.
